Fanart or original stuff?

I admit I really do like making fanart for the various shows, comics, and video games I obsess over. And I get a big kick out of the fact that the people who view my gallery like them too. But lately whenever I look through my gallery i'm overcome with a feeling that my art is cheap. That i'm not really striving for any true creativity, but just re-packaging ideas that have come before me.

Now, fanart will always have a place here, and it serves it's purpose, but I really want to start putting up all the ideas I have that are my own, that for whatever reason I don't have the time or energy to actually do a whole project for. (I'm of course referring to the COUNTLESS ideas I have for original comics that I just can't seem to get off the ground.)

My original stuff can be pretty derivative at times,  especially my superhero stuff. So bear with me for the time being, but if I don't start focusing on new stuff now, i'll never get better.

Okay English is not my mother tongue, so keep that in mind when/if you read this. Let's just hope it makes some sense :D

Allright, so around 4 years ago I was starting to get into online comics, the first real comic i started reading was a comic called "the 602" (a wonderfull comic that just vanished a couple of years ago), after I found that comic I started looking for more great webcomics to read, unfortunately there weren't that many good around back then. But somewhere on a forum I read of a comic called "Bad Guy High". It were suppose to be some sort of superhero-parody comic, with a really good plot.I decided to give it a shot, and after a bunch of pages I were stuck. I can still look back at those days I spent reading trough your comics. First I just read the comics, but after a while I started reading your comments too, and one could see how you evolved as a person, from the guy you where back then, to the splendid comicbook artist you are today.

Guess all I really want to say is thanks. Thanks a lot for the wonderfull moments you've given me with your comics, and I can't help but feel a bit sad as Bad Guy High is coming to an end. But it's been quite some journey, and I just can't wait to see what you start working on next. What ever it may be, I know it will be great and I will with no doubt read it with joy. Just like Bad Guy High.

i was hoping you could help me? i need to find the cartoon look-a-like of this guy i know. he is 16 has blonde hair that would curl if he let it get longer. is probably like 5'5" and has green eyes. any ideas? thanks
